The Marvel Universe’s favorite narcissistic billionaire, Tony Stark, has assumed leadership of the Avengers after Captain America: Civil War, meaning Iron Man will return in Spider-Man: Homecoming. And, a new job means new armor, so Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) will sport the latest model of his signature Iron Man suit: the cutting edge Mark XLVII. Recently released scans of the premium Hot Toys tie-in figure reveal our most detailed look at the suit yet, and Iron Man’s Mark XLVII sure looks a lot like the Ultimate Iron Man suit, seen in (what else) Ultimate Iron Man.
As if Spider-Man: Homecoming, directed by Jon Watts (Cop Car) doesn’t already resemble Marvel’s formerly parallel Ultimate universe, the point is driven home with the Mark XLVII paint job. Unlike previous Iron Man armors in the MCU, which usually sport hot rod red and gold, the Mark XLVII suit is mostly silver except for the upper torso and legs. While the color scheme pretty much matches Antonio Stark’s Ultimate Iron Man armor to a T, it’s somehow still the most awkward-looking Iron Man suit of all in the MCU — and that’s including the suitcase armor (which also had tons of silver) from Iron Man 2. Something about all that silver just makes him look … nude.
But as Stark told Peter Parker (Tom Holland) in the trailer for Homecoming: It’s not the suit that makes a hero.

Spider-Man: Homecoming will be released on July 7, 2017.
