The Major packs a mean uppercut in the just-released final trailer for Ghost in the Shell. The trailer opens with a lengthy look at the previously featured water fight in which the Major uses her cloaking abilities to sucker punch an assailant with an automatic gun. All of her abilities are on full display in the trailer, and we also get a sense of the many philosophical issues that come along with her completely cyberized existence. Perhaps best of all, we get a quick peek at what looks like one of the series’ beloved Fuchikama!
She’s “been made strong and fast,” but the Major also has a lot of questions about how she came to be what she is, mainly because the antagonist Kuze hints at the truth behind what “they” did to her. We get a barrage of questions: “Who are you?” “How many were there before me?” “Do you see it?” “What is that?” “What have you told her?” “Where do the bodies come from?”
But most pressing: Who can the Major trust? Batou, apparently, and nobody else. We’ll have to wait and see what the answers to these many questions are. Check out the trailer below for more:
