It looks like things are getting even worse for Eren and the Survey Corps. The first season of Attack on Titan wrapped in Japan in 2013 and in America in 2014, so fans around the world have waited years to re-enter Hajime Isayama’s world. In a new Japanese trailer for Attack on Titan Season 2, Funimation reveals that the story will continue beyond the events of Chapter 34 in the Attack on Titan manga.
The final shot in Season 1 revealed the Titans living inside the walls of Shiganshina; the development shocked fans who had assumed Titans were coming from outside the walls. Season 2 will likely follow Eren, Mikasa, Armin, and the members of the Survey Corps as they meet the Beast Titan — the hairy, talkative Titan in this new trailer. Talking with the Beast Titan, they discover that more humans have Eren’s ability to transform into Titans, and they begin to investigate the royal family who built the walls of their city a hundred years ago. In short, things are about to get bloodier and more political.
