Cersei Lannister might have an enduring twincest relationship with her brother Jaime, but according to Jaime himself, Game of Thrones Season 7 will present a new contender for her affections.
“For Jaime, there is no other way,” Nikolaj Coster-Waldau said in a recent interview. “Whatever his life is, it starts and ends with Cersei… He’s done that his whole life, and he’s reached a moment now where he suddenly has to address it. Plus, there are no other suitors. Well, that’s not true… but he has to step up and take his father’s place. Wow, I was about to reveal something from Season 7 and thought, ‘What am I doing?’”
The most likely contender for Cersei’s Season 7 suitor is Euron Greyjoy if he decides to trade in his aspirations for Daenerys for another (Cersei). Season 7 set reports have put Euron and Cersei in the same location, backing this up.
Alternate wild-card contenders could be Yara “I’m up for anything” Greyjoy or Cersei’s loyal, terrifying guard dog, the FrankenMountain. But for now, the biggest question going into Season 7 is if Cersei will be charmed by Euron Greyjoy’s big cock.
Later in the same interview, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau also took the time to address the botched Facebook Live video of ice melting that revealed the Season 7 release date: “I spoke to Dan [Weiss] and David [Benioff] about that,” he said, “And they were like, ‘Oh god… That’s embarrassing.’ Everyone was like, ‘What’s going to happen?’ ‘What’s going to happen?!’ ‘It’s melting!’ ‘It crashed!’ ‘Oh my god!’ It’s like, just walk away… It’s just a date!”
Game of Thrones Season 7 premieres on July 16.
