'Alien: Covenant' Trailer Fully Reveals Terrifying New Xenomorph
Xenomorphs — the titular aliens from the Alien franchise — are among the most iconic and scariest monsters in movie history. If the new trailer for Ridley Scott’s upcoming Alien: Covenant is anything to go by, the creatures’ next appearance might be their most terrifying yet.
The trailer, which dropped on Tuesday night, picks up where last week’s ominous prologue left off. We again learn that the crew — all couples save for Michael Fassbender’s android Walter — are going to colonize a distant planet.
Things aren’t what they appear, however. To start with, the crew is a little surprised and concerned to find that there is wheat growing on this supposedly virgin, unexplored planet.
“Who planted it?” asks Katherine Waterston’s character, Daniels.
Things only get worse from there. A Facehugger does what Facehuggers do, and before too long it’s just bloody, chest-bursting terror.
The scariest part, though, comes at the end when a spindly, fully grown Xenomorph tries to headbutt its way into Danny McBride’s vehicle. Check it out below.
Alien: Covenant comes out on May 19.
