No superhero stays dead forever, so it might hardly be a surprise that Wally West, aka Kid Flash, might return in the new third season of Young Justice. On Twitter, voice actor Jason Spisak shared a clip of him as Kid Flash from the new animated movie Teen Titans: The Judas Contract with a vaguely worded tweet hinting he may reprise the role in Young Justice.
On February 8, Spisak shared a clip from The Judas Contract with the caption: “A tiny taste of Wally from the new #TTJudasContract movie for those who can’t wait for #YJSeason3!”
At the end of Young Justice Season 2 — which, for a long time, was the series finale — Wally West sacrifices himself to contain an alien bomb by using his superspeed. Because Wally couldn’t run as fast as Impulse and the Flash (Barry Allen), Wally began siphoning off the excess energy and eventually disintegrated, presumably dying.
Some fans speculate how Wally could still return, perhaps by someone reversing the incident or rescuing him from the Speed Force or whatever alternate reality he may have found himself. In the comics, it wasn’t Wally who died but Barry Allen at the end of 1986’s Crisis on Infinite Earths. After Barry’s death, his protégé takes up the mantle and becomes the Flash, which he did so throughout the ‘90s and 2000s until Grant Morrison’s Final Crisis and Geoff Johns’s The Flash: Rebirth.

There is still no release date set for Young Justice Season 3.
