Stydia Finally Happened on 'Teen Wolf' and Twitter is Losing Its Mind
The chill is gone. There is no more chill.
Stiles Stilinski has been pining after Lydia Martin since elementary school. Now, six years into Jeff Davis’s Teen Wolf, the love is mutual. The mid Season 6 finale on January 31 gave “Stydia” shippers everywhere the catharsis they’ve been waiting for after a relatively Stiles-less season. Stiles and Lydia are finally canon on Teen Wolf.
Unless this turns out to be some sort of sick joke Davis and the gang are playing on Teen Wolf fans, Stydia is very much happy and very much in love. Season 6A ended with Stiles and Lydia eyeing each other across the hallway, smiling and obviously dealing with some major butterflies. They’ve come a long way from Season 1, Episode 1 when Lydia pushed past a blazer-clad, buzzcut Stiles on her way into school, ignoring his nervous babble and well-wishes.
“The ten-year plan for making Lydia fall in love with me may have to stretch to 15, but the plan is definitely still in motion,” Stiles said at one point, earning himself an eye roll from best friend Scott McCall. Five years later, here we are, and ahead of schedule too.
Some fans on Twitter were generally happy for Stydia shippers even if they weren’t that invested.
But others were, uh, not so chill.
In fact, most had zero chill. Like, we’re concerned some people might be dead right now from all the joy in their hearts.
