Nobody was more tickled than Ryan Reynolds — Deadpool himself — when Fox’s smash hit Deadpool was nominated for not one, but two Golden Globes after receiving a pretty rad Clio Award. But now, alas, the Merc with the Mouth has been officially snubbed when it comes to the 2017 Oscars. (After all, it was made abundantly clear that Deadpool would, in all likelihood, [fuck his Oscar]https://www.inverse.com/article/26073-deadpool-oscar-fabian-nicieza-pegging-academy-awards-best), so this is especially tragic.)
The good news is, despite such a monumental snub, Ryan Reynolds assures us all that the tickle-fight is still on:
Deadpool can be an irreverent and overly snarky jerk when he wants to, but Ryan Reynolds seems to be taking things in stride, assuring fans that the Camp Deadpool crew is carrying on despite the unfortunate snu. He didn’t have to wish congratulations to anybody, but we’re glad that he did. I mean, he could have called somebody a “shit swizzler” yet again. And hey, it’s just comforting to know that they’ll be racked with gut-busting giggle fits while we’re all gritting our teeth.
Deadpool 2 doesn’t have a release date yet.
