'Star Wars Rebels' Could Revisit 'Rogue One' Scarif Space Battle

by Ryan Britt

The Rebel ship The Ghost definitely flew during the Battle of Scarif in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and audiences might get to find out exactly who was piloting the ship when the show Rebels revisits the battle from a new point of view.

The executive producer of Rebels — Dave Filoni — told EW on Tuesday that the animated Star Wars series could show the Scarif battle again: “I can imagine doing that entire [Scarif] battle from their point of view, whoever is on the Ghost at that point.” Rogue One takes place a few years after Rebels, so a lot could have happened, and it might take few seasons for the show to catch up to Rogue One.

What’s telling is that Filoni says “whoever” meaning the captain of the Ghost might not be Hera Syndulla by the time of Rogue One. In the same article Filoni confirmed that the General Syndulla who is paged in Rogue One is in fact Hera, meaning perhaps someone else has been put in charge of the ship full-time. Because of their Jedi status, Kanan and Ezra seem very unlikely, but you never know.
