It’s been rumored that the King of the North and the Queen of Dragons would be meeting in the next season of Game of Thrones, and we’ve got a stronger lead about where they hook up, as well as where Tyrion fits in.
Recent behind-the-scenes photos show Jon Snow and Tyrion meeting on a beach, flanked by Missandei, Davos, and a bunch of Dothraki. The latest seaside location joins several other recent filming spots in presumably creating Dragonstone, an island fortress near Blackwater Bay. It makes sense that Daenerys would stop in Dragonstone on her way to conquering the Seven Kingdoms, since it was the original seat of House Targaryen when the family first arrived in Westeros.
Still, it’s interesting that Jon Snow would travel all the way down there, and we can only speculate what he has in mind. It could be an alliance between their two armies, a marriage proposal for his aunt, or maybe he just wants to hang out with his old pal Tyrion Lannister.
The behind-the-scenes photos show Jon Snow and Tyrion shaking hands on arrival. We haven’t seen them together since Tyrion went to visit the Night’s Watch all the way back in Season 1 when he told Snow that there were no such things as monsters beyond the wall. Well, pretty sure Tyrion’s changed his tune since then, since, you know, he’s pet a dragon.
