Batman "Tactical Batsuit" Photo Has Fans Ready for a 'Justice League' Trailer
Zack Snyder has shared an image of Batman’s new “tactical” batsuit used in the upcoming Justice League movie. Of course, Batman only needs a new suit in Justice League because he’s fighting alongside superpowered demigods like Wonder Woman and Aquaman against otherworldly demons.
The new suit appears smoother than the bulky armor worn in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but it is still outfitted with armored plates and a new goggle over Batman’s eyes. There’s not a lot here that makes this suit inherently more “tactical” than Batman’s previous DC Extended Universe outfit, but a new batsuit is actually always a sign that Batman requires a power-up against certain foes. Considering this is a Justice League movie, the new suit is just what he might need to keep pace with the rest of the Justice League who have powers that Batman doesn’t.
Now every Batman fan will tell you that Batman never needed powers to be as good as the rest of the Justice League, but it’s also true that without his arsenal he is still the mortal of the group. Considering that Justice League has been teasing Steppenwolf as a major villain, Batman will need all the help he can get, including some new weapons.
While some people were quick to disparage the bulky gray suit Batman wore in Batman v Superman (not to be confused with the Bat Armor), I found it to be a unique version of the suit not seen in movies before. The new tactical suit, however, is reminiscent of the Christopher Nolan Dark Knight outfits with a splash of Nite Owl from Watchmen. While it certainly looks tough enough, it’s unclear what specific uses it actually has other than some extra physical features.
