The Best Character Introductions in 'Overwatch'
Because looking like a badass is all that matters in the grand scheme of things.
After months of waiting, Blizzard’s Overwatch is nearly upon us. Set to release tomorrow, May 24, the Pixar-like shooter has been one of the most highly anticipated games of this year – filled with interesting characters, quality animations and team-based gameplay mechanics we haven’t seen for quite some time.
Like other games in the genre, Overwatch features a progression system, filled with cosmetic items to customize your favorite characters with. These unlocks are accessible via Loot Boxes that each contain a random assortment of player icons, skins, emotes, sprays, voice lines, victory poses and highlight intros. These boxes are obtainable from ranking up within the game, and will most likely be available through microtransactions later down the line in order to counteract the decision to make all DLC free for the game. You can also purchase specific customization items with currency obtained from the Loot Boxes.
It’s no question that the characters in Overwatch have some of the most badass introductions we’ve seen in years, and with so many options to look forward to, we figured we’d share some of our favorites. Each of these highly intros can be obtained from Loot Boxes or purchased with in-game currency (250 a piece).
