Harley Quinn Explains Killers to Deadshot In New 'Suicide Squad' Comic
An exclusive preview of 'New Suicide Squad' Issue 20 before it hits the stands.
New Suicide Squad, Issue 20, will hit comic book stores this Wednesday. Many of us are hungry for any information we can get about DC’s upcoming villain romp, as the film’s trailers have gotten better and more exciting with each new release. As with all comic book properties, a lot of information can be gleaned from checking the source material. Luckily for fans, we’ve got an exclusive preview of what Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie, in the Suicide Squad film), Deadshot (Will Smith) and their psycho buddies are up to.
When we last left Harley and Co in April, they had been kidnapped by a death cult called Fist of Cain. As Deadshot explicates in Issue 20, the Squad has to escape the cult and avoid having the bombs implanted into their brains go off. Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) and Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney) debate saving the crew, from their place of safety.
In this issue, it appears Deadshot is leaning heavily on Harley’s past as a psychiatrist in order to analyze and defeat this particular brand of psychopath. This interaction is pretty cool; although Harley is still nutso, she’s portrayed as being both intelligent and skilled in her field. If Margot Robbie’s Harley has any of the comic book character’s expertise, the film will be better for it.
Issue 20 of New Suicide Squad is available Wednesday, May 4th in a comic shop near you. DC’s Suicide Squad film hits theaters August 5th.
