Kanye West Switches Album Title, Again
West had previously mentioned an album title change may be on the horizon.
Musician Kanye West’s upcoming album is no longer going to be titled SWISH — it’s now officially WAVES, as he expressed on Twitter Tuesday:
The name of the album has been a work in progress — starting off as So Help Me God until May of 2015, when West redubbed it SWISH. HipHopDX pointed out Tuesday that Kanye had mentioned another title switch may have been coming, and indeed SWISH is now switched.
West also tweeted out a photo of the song list, on what looks much like a piece of looseleaf paper ripped from a high schooler’s homeroom notebook:
A ten-tune collection, the tracklist of WAVES includes collabs with Kendrick Lamar (the excellent “No More Parties in L.A.”) and Ty Dolla $ign. West is to premiere the music at Madison Square Garden in New York City as part of New York Fashion Week, releasing the album on February 11, 2016.
