Sony Pictures has announced it now has the distribution rights for Alcon Entertainment’s sequel to the 1982 film Blade Runner.

Harrison Ford will return as Rick Deckard, and will be joined by actor Ryan Gosling, with Denis Villeneuve handling directing duties, taking over for the original film’s director Ridley Scott.

Variety reports that the new story will take place decades after the end point of the 1982 film. Principal photography is slated for July.
