As cool as they look, they’re unfortunately not going on sale and will only have eight models made.

Porsche

Porsche is taking us for a trip down memory lane by re-envisioning its livery vans that date back to the ‘50s and were used as support vehicles for its race cars.

New and improved

This modern twist takes the design and styling of the old Porsche Renndienst buses and throws it onto the all-electric minibus from Volkswagen, the ID. Buzz.

Behind every great Porsche on the track, there was a Renndienst bus supporting it. The minibusses did everything from carrying spare parts to occasionally serving as makeshift hotels for the racing team members.

The redesign is the perfect combination of historical significance and a fan-favorite form factor, both of which are meant to celebrate Porsche’s 75th anniversary.

Precious cargo

The Porsche-styled buses are based on Volkswagen’s ID. Buzz 1st Max so they’re more suited for passengers than cargo. It gets 201 horsepower from its 77 kWh battery, making them more powerful than the original.

Minibus magic

Porsche previously made a more conceptual version of the Renndienst buses, but they just don’t feel as humble and realistic as the ID. Buzz versions.

The Renndienst versions of the ID. Buzz will not be making it to market, instead spending some time in Porsche showrooms before being used as shuttle buses and showing up at events for promotional purposes.

These ID. Buzz Renndienst buses may not have as much collector’s value as the real thing, but you can’t deny how sleek they look in that classic deep red paint.
