The upcoming Jeep EV is part of Stellantis’ efforts to have a lineup of more than 75 battery-electric vehicles and to become carbon net zero by 2038.
One of the milestones in the initiative, called Dare Forward 2030, is to reduce the company’s carbon footprint by 50 percent reduction in the next eight years.
Before this announcement, Jeep had already put out hybridized versions of its SUVs, including the Grand Cherokee and the Wrangler. The company even recently collaborated with Razor for an electric scooter built only for the most diehard fans.
But now that Jeep actually committed to making an electric SUV, we finally can stop calling this scooter their first electric vehicle.
