Bang & Olufson's new soundbar is a perfect fit for your supervillain lair
The Bang & Olufson Beosound Theatre is a motorized, modular TV stand and soundbar that costs almost $8,000.

Bang & Olufson’s newest soundbar goes all out, acting as both a high-quality audio source for your home theater and (if you want it) even the stand for your TV.

The B&O Beosound Theatre is definitely an expensive investment starting at $6,890 for a grey fabric finish, or $7,900 for a wooden finish.
But it really seems like no expense has been spared in making it.

B&O Beosound Theatre specs:
12 speaker drivers.
2 custom 6.5-inch long stroker custom woofers.
Dolby Atmos support ( a 7.1.4 surround system if you want it).
Support for 16 additional loudspeakers.
Bluetooth 5.1 and Wi-Fi.
AirPlay 2, Chromecast built-in, Spotify Connect, Google Cast, and more.
The soundbar has the bells and whistles you’d expect, but its design is clearly the most eye-catching part of the Theatre.
Bang & Olufsen
The BeoSound Theatre has been designed to be modular. Despite its heavy metal appearance, it can be mounted on a wall, sat on a table, or even connected to an optional dock that’s motorized.

Its aluminum wings can be extended to fit different sizes of TV screens, and if you’re using the stand, it can rotate itself so you can find the best viewing angle.
Bang & Olufsen
It is excessive and luxurious; qualities fit for the “timeless” sailboat-inspired aesthetics B&O cites as its inspiration for the device.

Though, if I’m honest, the retro-futuristic look feels much more at home in a Bond villains lair than in a living room.

Just try and convince me this doesn’t have “lair” written all over it
