The start of Adidas’ collaboration with Bad Bunny began in March with the “The First Café,” a pair of Forum Buckle Low sneakers with a coffee-themed brown aesthetic, bright neon laces, and details like a fat double tongue that pays homage to skateboarding shoes.
Not surprisingly, considering how the Grammy-winning Latin rapper is one of the biggest artists right now, the First Café sold out immediately when they dropped on March 17 for $160.
Luckily, we got a pair — and they’re even more stunning in person. And to make them pop, I went for the mistmatched blue and green laces, instead of the stock brown ones.
Adidas and Bad Bunny didn’t stop with The First Café, though, and on March 31 they revealed their “Easter Egg” Forum Low — a super pink (and super hot) version of the sneaker.
The Easter Egg color of the sneaker arrived in time for Easter, which is naturally one of Bad Bunny’s favorite holidays. Unfortunately for sneakerheads and fans of the Puerto Rican superstar, the ultra pink Forum Lows also sold out instantly everywhere.
But, boy, are they worth the hype. Like the First Cafe, the Easter Egg pair is a fresh, gorgeous take on a sneaker that’s been around since the ‘80s.
Now Adidas only needs to make sure there are more pairs of Bad Bunny Forum Lows to go around for everyone who wants them — just as it’s doing for Kanye West and his Yeezy line.
