Mercedes-Benz has decided to add to its fleet of electric vehicles with the unveiling of the Mercedes-Maybach EQS concept, an electric SUV that looks like something you might see following your time on this planet.
The Mercedes-Maybach EQS concept will join a number of other electric vehicles like the EQS electric luxury sedan, EQS SUV, and the EQE SUV, all of which are slated to hit the market next year.
Will this set the standard for luxury vehicles in the electric age?
“The Concept Mercedes-Maybach EQS represents the transformation of the tradition-rich luxury brand into a more progressive, all-electric future...The near-production concept car represents proof that state-of-the-art electric drive technology and pioneering infotainment with MBUX Hyperscreen combine perfectly with hallmark Maybach craftsmanship and an exquisite interior.”
Philipp Schiemer, Head of Top End Vehicle Group at Mercedes-Benz AG
While the German manufacturer has yet to announce a full spec list for the vehicle, the assumption is that it will be similar to the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV, which boasted a 108 kWh battery pack, all-wheel drive, among other features.
