Design
Despite a 2026 release date, the sky-blue edition of the EV sports car has already filled every pre-order spot.
The Polestar 6, which up until late last month was a roadster concept dubbed the Polestar O2, has made the leap that not every concept car is able to achieve: it will hit production beginning in 2026.
The all-electric sports car, is as sleek as it is angular and will be available through a limited pre-sale offering, in its sky-blue colorway, known as the “LA Concept edition.”
There are only four years until release, but who’s counting?
155 mph
The vehicle's top-speed target
The LA Concept’s top speed of 155 mph would place it in the upper echelon of electric sports cars. Additionally the roadster boasts an estimated 884 horsepower and the ability to go 0-60 mph in 3.1 seconds.
300
The amount of estimated battery range (in miles).
Polestar estimates is Polestar 6 will get 300 miles of distance on a full battery. This figure would be an upgrade on the Polestar 2 (270 miles) and just under the Polestar 3 (372 miles). Although, the latter is an SUV, so it would make sense to have a longer range than a roadster.
21"
The Polestar 6 will sit on 21" alloy wheels.
A key feature of the Polestar 6’s design is its low center of gravity and wide-bodied silhouette that presumably lends itself to a smooth ride experience. The length of its wheels (21”) aid this and feature “integrated aero ducts in the wheel arches.”
$200K
The asking price for the limited run of the Polestar 6's LA Concept edition
According to Polestar’s website, the LA Concept edition of the Polestar 6 has a price of $200,000. To reserve one of the 500 available pre-orders, you’ll need a $25,000 deposit. The price tag would vault the Polestar 6 into the Porsche Taycan territory, with the latter’s Turbo S Cross Turismo starting at $187,700.
500
The number of available reservations for the LA Concept edition.
The 500 reservation slots for the Polestar 6 LA Concept edition already sold out! At the moment the automaker has provided a waiting list for anyone that might still be interested, but for now consider interest in the roadster very high.
