Concept cars are always a fun exercise, but every once in awhile, one really just hits home.

As an example: the X, which is the third EV concept from Korean company, Genesis.

Outside of having sleek, appealing lines, the X is also a drop-top convertible. Naturally, Genesis unveiled the concept in Malibu, California — the ideal location for a convertible.

While Genesis has shown off the EV’s look, it hasn’t released any hard details on its drivetrain, range, or other important specs. For now, we’re riding on spiffy design.

LED lights wrap around the X’s body and the interior gets a nice touch with grid-like stitching. Also, the Star Trek touchscreen console to the right of the steering wheel catches the eye.

As a concept, there’s obviously no release date, either, which is arguably the X’s biggest flaw. Here’s to hoping Genesis ships this sleek concept as is.
