Nissan first debuted the Max-Out concept in November 2021 through a virtual teaser. Now, the Japanese automaker produced a physical prototype of the EV roadster.

Nissan teased the Max-Out with a host of other EV concepts, but this sleek two-seater convertible design was meant to feel like an extension of the driver.

Sci-fi styling

We’re glad to see that Nissan stuck to the original conceptual design with its synthwave/Tron-esque vibes.

Since it’s a concept, Nissan didn’t reveal any specs for the Max-Out.

The automaker did previously say that it would focus on stability and comfort with dynamic cornering and steering response that’s optimized to reduce body movement inside the EV for the driver and passenger.

Family of concepts

Besides the Max-Out, Nissan previously revealed the Hang-Out that’s meant to be a mobile living room, and the Surf-Out that’s an all-terrain SUV concept designed for adventures. The Nissan Chill-Out crossover concept was the most time, but also the closest one to make it to production.

Just a concept?

While the Max-Out isn’t likely to make it to market, there’s still a good chance that Nissan uses its design elements or technology for its future EVs. We already saw that happen with the Nissan Ariya that looks like it pulled inspiration from the Chill-Out concept, so we’re still staying hopeful.
