This one’s for all the fans of the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula 1 team. Mercedes-AMG is releasing a collectors edition of its SL 63 4MATIC+ directly inspired by the race car.

From racetrack to road

Mercedes-AMG designed this SL 63 after its Mercedes-AMG F1 W13 E Performance race car that was used during the recently-concluded 2022 F1 season. Luckily, Mercedes ported over the most attractive part of the race car: the two-tone gradient paint.

The color graduation from metallic silver to metallic black is accented by the Mercedes star pattern.

It’s not just a cosmetic upgrade since Mercedes outfitted the special edition SL 63 with the AMG Aerodynamics package. This allows for improved aerodynamics, better driving at high speeds, and improved overall efficiency.

Blackout packages

Mercedes is offering two ways to black out the limited-edition SL 63’s exterior, the Night and Night II packages. The Night package dips the front splitter, side sill panels, mirror caps, and decorative trim in the rear diffuser completely in black.

If you want even more blackout vibes, the Night II package adds black chrome features with the radiator grille, typography, and the Mercedes star at the back, as well as darkening the lights and painting the brake calipers black.

You’ll get two options for interiors: black leather with red stitching or black leather with yellow stitching.

Like its more standard offerings, the limited-edition SL 63 will get a 3D surround sound system, ambient lighting, the MBUX Interior Assistant, the Driving Assistance package, and a heads-up display.
