As part of the recent Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Direct, Nintendo lifted the curtain on a boatload of the game’s features and highlighted its Classes and Roles.

In total, three Roles were shown, with two Classes available for each, giving players plenty of ways to tackle different battle situations.

These are the 3 Roles and 6 Classes in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

Role — Attacker

As expected, Attackers will be your main source of offense on the battlefield.

Class — Swordfighter (Attacker)

The Swordfighter Class serves as a well-balanced option for those wanting to deal straight-up damage.

Class — Ogre (Attacker)

The Ogre Class is a slower, albeit more powerful option, allowing you to unleash devastating attacks.

Role — Defender

With the Defender Role, you’ll be able to block enemy attacks, while drawing their attention away from your squadmates.

Class — Zephyr (Defender)

The Zephyr Class gives you the ability to quickly dodge enemy attacks and follow them up with counter maneuvers.

Class — Heavy Guard (Defender)

While the Heavy Guard Class is more of a tank, allowing you to pull aggro with the use of enormous weapons.

Role — Healer

Finally, the Healer Role is in place to ensure squadmates always have enough HP to continue the fight.

Class — Medic Gunner (Healer)

Use the Medic Gunner Class to buff and heal enemies from afar.

The Tactician Class focuses on de-buffing enemies, while supporting teammates during combat.
