Next-Gen

Every Xbox Series X exclusive coming out in 2021

by Tomas Franzese

Following a relatively weak launch lineup, the Xbox Series X and Series X have a lot to prove with Microsoft exclusives in 2021.

Though many of them still have vague release windows, here's every game coming in 2021 that's exclusive to Xbox.

The Medium - January 28

This horror game inspired by Silent Hill has players explore two worlds at once. It requires next-gen hardware to run, so it's a true Xbox Series X console exclusive.

Bloober Team
Exomecha - Second half of 2021

While Titanfall 3 seems unlikely to happen at this point, the free-to-play shooter ExoMecha should scratch that mech shooter itch.

The Gunk - September 2021

This quirky game from the creators of the SteamWorld series sees players ridding an alien planet of gunk that has overtaken it with a giant power glove.

Halo Infinite - Fall 2021

The most anticipated Xbox exclusive missed the system's launch and will now come out this fall.

Shredders - Winter 2021

This indie multiplayer snowboarding game could be the new SSX.

Crossfire X - 2021

The popular multiplayer shooter is coming to Xbox consoles with a campaign by Control developer Remedy Entertainment.

12 Minutes - 2021

This indie game sticks players in a twelve-minute time loop where they are murdered. It stars James McAvoy, Daisy Ridley, and Willem Dafoe.

Echo Generation - 2021

Earthbound meets Stranger Things in this stylish indie RPG where a group of kids tries to save their small town.

Sable - 2021

Players explore a vast desert in order to complete their rite of passage in this absolutely beautiful-looking indie game.

Bright Memory Infinite - 2021

The Bright Memory teaser launched with the Xbox Series X, but the full FPS experience is coming in 2021.

Warhammer 40K: Darktide - 2021

Vermintide's developers are taking the Left 4 Dead-style multiplayer action to a sci-fi setting in the Warhammer universe.

Scorn - 2021

This horror game looks absolutely disgusting in the best way possible. It missed the console's launch but will be released for Xbox Series X this year.

The Ascent - 2021

After a megacorporation fails, players must try to escape in this isometric shooter.

Psychonauts 2 - 2021

Double FIne's cult classic series is returning and will have players delving into the minds of a diverse cast of people. When it comes to next-generation consoles, it'll only be on Xbox Series X.
