The June 2022 State of Play presentation has come and gone, and it featured the explosive reveal of Resident Evil 4 remake, which is due out for PS5 on March 24, 2023.

These are 10 bloody beautiful images of Resident Evil 4 Remake

Capcom

Resident Evil 4 is back in this all-new remake of the beloved 2005 horror classic.

Capcom

It features Leon Kennedy as the protagonist, whose goal is to rescue the president’s daughter from a scary European village.

Capcom

But Leon arrives to discover a new threat, unlike anything he’s faced before. These aren’t zombies, but rather, villagers infected with a parasite.

Capcom

The president’s daughter, Ashley returns this time around, who was a playable character in the original Resident Evil 4.

Capcom

Fans of the original will no doubt remember the creepy lake containing a unique boss battle (that we won’t spoil here).

Capcom

Ada Wong also makes an appearance, though it’s unclear if she’ll be playable in the remake.

Capcom

Based on the gameplay footage, it seems Resident Evil 4 remake will follow in the footsteps of 2019’s Resident Evil 2 remake, implementing an over-the-shoulder third-person camera view.

Capcom

One thing’s for certain: The vibe of the original remains intact, only it looks like a game for modern systems.

Capcom

Capcom says it’s aiming to “make the game feel familiar to fans of the series, while also providing a fresh feeling to it.”

Capcom

Resident Evil 4 remake will feature a reimagining of the story, as well, without straying too far from the essence of the original 2005 game.
