These are the 8 most surprising games in the new PS Plus library.

Red Dead Redemption II

8. Red Dead Redemption II (PS4)

Arguably Rockstar Games’ magnum opus, Red Dead Redemption II is one of the most immersive video games of all time. You can also get your hands on Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare via PS Plus!

Capcom

7. Asura’s Wrath (PS3)

Often referred to as an “interactive anime,” Asura’s Wrath is an absolutely bonkers experience that sends you on a quest for revenge.

Square Enix

6. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy (PS4, PS5)

Easily one of 2021’s most surprising games, Guardians of the Galaxy captures the essence of the source material, with well-written characters and a captivating story.

Sony

5. Concrete Genie (PS4)

By using motion controls to paint your own masterpieces, Concrete Genie offers a different approach to gameplay, serving as one of the most unique PS4 games on the list.

Sony

4. Returnal (PS5)

Seeing as how Returnal is still fairly new, it’s surprising to see it on the PS Plus games list. This is easily among the PS5’s top games, due in part to its satisfying roguelike gameplay.

Sony

3. Everybody’s Golf (PS4)

Arguably the best golf game of the past decade, Everybody’s Golf is funny, weird, and quirky, making up for the disappointing Mario Golf: Super Rush.

Sony

2. Tearaway Unfolded (PS4)

What started as a PS Vita (RIP) game, eventually received its own version for PS4 in Tearaway Unfolded. This platformer makes use of all the PS4’s features, including the DualShock 4’s touchpad.

Sony

1. Demon’s Souls (PS5)

The PS5 launched with Demon’s Souls, a remake of the 2009 game of the same name, and what a treat it was. It fixes many of the original’s problems while preserving what made it so alluring.
