Switch Mario Edition is hotter than Bowser's fireballs

Nintendo is honoring its iconic mascot with a new special edition Switch console.

The Nintendo Switch Mario Red & Blue Edition takes cues from Mario’s fashionable overalls for its eye-catching color scheme.

The console comes with a set of red Joy-Cons and a blue Joy-Con grip.

The Mario-inspired Switch was announced alongside a new trailer for Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury on January 12, 2021.

Both the new Mario game and the special edition Switch will be available on February 12.

The Mario Red & Blue Edition Switch retails for $299.99 — the same price as the regular Switch — from select retailers.

If the adorable and sought-after Animal Crossing: New Horizons Edition Switch is any indication, the new console could be hard to find.
