The Courier is a pretty robust-looking life sim/exploration game set on a mysterious island. You play, naturally, as a courier delivering mail, but the trailer shows everything from hang gliding to dog walking is on offer. It’s due on PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and Switch sometime in 2022.
The extremely flashy Sanabi is an action platformer built around a very fun-seeming grappling hook that lets you zip around its cyberpunk environments like a mix between Bionic Commando and Ghostrunner. It’s slated for a mid-2022 release on PC.
Hitting Switch in April 2022, The Last Friend is a side-scrolling brawler with light RPG and tower defense elements, plus a whole kennel’s worth of pettable dog pals. The Last Friend is available now on PC and has a Switch demo.

Managing an airline sounds boring, but a spaceline? Now we’re talking. This quirky management sim has you maintaining a fleet of ships and keeping passengers safe in singleplayer or co-op modes. It launches this year on PC and Xbox.
With cute voxel graphics, swappable armor sets, and flashy combat, SamuraiBringer looks as tough as it is adorable. The action roguelike hits PlayStation 4, PC, and Switch on April 21, 2022.
Visual novel Jack Jeanne stars Kisa, a young woman who has to pretend she’s a boy to attend an elite boys drama school. Set for a 2023 release, it features art from Tokyo Ghoul manga artist Sui Ishida.
A collection of two early NIS tactical RPGs is due out this summer. Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure features full-on musical numbers between battles, and La Pucelle: Ragnarok is a previously Japan-only update to La Pucelle: Tactics featuring characters from NIS’ Disgaea series.
