Bella Ramsey made quite an impression as Lyanna Mormont in Game of Thrones. Her commanding presence there suggests she’ll carry the weight of the world well as Ellie.

Another Game of Thrones alum, Pedro Pascal more recently starred in The Mandalorian and has more than two decades of film and TV appearances.

Gabriel Luna has a major part to play in The Last of Us as Joel’s brother Tommy. You may recognize him from True Detective, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and Terminator: Dark Fate.

As the leader of the Fireflies militia, Marlene will butt heads with Joel and Ellie in The Last of Us. Along with her many TV, film, and theater roles, Merle Dandridge voiced Marlene in The Last of Us and Alyx Vance in Half-Life 2.

Nico Parker will appear as Joel’s daughter Sarah in The Last of Us. Her first film appearance was in 2019’s Dumbo, and she also appeared in the Hugh Jackman sci-fi thriller Reminiscence.

Anna Torv, who appeared in Mindhunter and Fringe, will play Tess in The Last of Us. Tess is a smuggler who works closely with Joel in the game.

Nick Offerman, best known for playing Ron Swanson on Parks and Recreation, signed on to play Bill in The Last of Us. Bill is a paranoid survivalist — basically post-apocalyptic Ron Swanson — who briefly helps Joel and Ellie.

Murray Bartlett will play Frank in The Last of Us. Frank is Bill’s partner in the game, who’s mentioned but never seen. Bartlett has appeared in Netflix’s Tales of the City and HBO’s The White Lotus.

Jeffrey Pierce, the voice actor for Tommy in the game, will appear as Perry, a new character created for The Last of Us show.
