Gasp! 8 dazzling images of Hollow Knight: Silksong

Team Cherry showed off Hollow Knight: Silksong during the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase 2022 — the first trailer since the game’s reveal in 2019.

After over three years, Team Cherry finally gave us another look at the highly anticipated Hollow Knight: Silksong.

This long-awaited sequel will star a new protagonist named Hornet and will build upon the foundation of the original Hollow Knight game.

Although a release date wasn’t revealed, each game shown during the Xbox showcase will launch within the next 12 months.

This means — barring any unexpected delays — Hollow Knight: Silksong should launch by summer 2023.

Despite this, we do know Silksong will launch for Game Pass on day one, joining the original game.

There’s still plenty to be shown of this upcoming sequel, but we do know it will feature tough-as-nails Metroidvania gameplay, with an emphasis on action.

We expect Hornet to play differently than the Knight from the first installment, prioritizing speed over power.

And of course, action will be at the forefront, with an atmospheric presentation, just like the first entry.
