Uniqlo’s latest collection celebrates 35 years of Final Fantasy.

A week after the collaboration leaked online, Uniqlo Japan announced a collection of Final Fantasy shirts, available in the U.S. in mid-May. The lineup’s 16 shirts represent each game in the series — and they’re likely to sell out fast.

The Final Fantasy XVI shirt’s graphic feels a bit less creative than many of the others. Without any built-in nostalgia for the yet-unreleased game, this one feels underwhelming.
Final Fantasy XII is full of gorgeous, colorful art, which makes its drab-colored shirt a bit disappointing. The game’s notorious Judges look great on the front, but they don’t capture the game’s spirit.
Final Fantasy IX’s front design features a somewhat muddy rendition of Bahamut and Alexander from a pivotal scene in the game. The back design of FFIX’s lovable main characters looks nice, though.

Uniqlo’s Final Fantasy shirt is as simple as the original game itself. The name of the game and one of the series’ most iconic character designs — what else do you need?

The logo on the front pocket of the Final Fantasy X shirt looks a little generic, but an unforgettable scene from the game’s opening makes the back look great.
Final Fantasy XIII has a bad reputation, which sometimes keeps Lightning from getting the credit she deserves. The game’s shirt design features the underappreciated character on the back of her majestic Odin Eidolon.
Final Fantasy V gets a cute, clean design featuring a parade of Chocobos, the series’ de facto mascot.
The graphic on the Final Fantasy XV shirt is one of the lineup’s most eye-catching whether you’re a fan of Noctis and his bros or not.
The logo on the front of the Final Fantasy VIII shirt is a bit too busy to make out, but a massive portrait of Squall on the back is unmistakable.
The simple combo of Final Fantasy III’s title with a nice pixel art image of a crystal is one of the best designs in the lineup. The back features sprites for the game’s many character classes.

The jump to PlayStation gave Square Enix the technical power needed to push its stories further. The Final Fantasy VII shirt shows a smattering of the game’s best scenes.

Final Fantasy IV is where the series’ stories really took off. The shirt has the simplest front design of the bunch (just the IV logo), with the game’s instantly recognizable party on the back.
Final Fantasy VI has some of the most memorable moments in all of Final Fantasy. Its shirt pays tribute to the game’s fantastic, tone-setting intro sequence.

For Final Fantasy XIV fans, love of the Scions alone makes this shirt a must-buy. Even if you haven’t adventured with them, this shirt’s design is one of the best of the collection.
