In FromSoftware tradition, Elden Ring can be an incredibly difficult game. Fortunately, you don’t even need to summon other players for help this time, thanks to the introduction of Spirit Ash summons.

Here are the 10 best Spirit Ash summons in Elden Ring.

10. Jellyfish

The Jellyfish is a surprisingly powerful Spirit Ash in the early game, capable of dishing out long-range damage and taking more damage than you’d expect for a floating blob of goo. Just talk to Roderika at Stormhill Shack to nab the Jellyfish.

9. Lone Wolf

While they won’t get you to the endgame, this pack of wolves is great for early levels since they’re fairly mobile and able to keep pressure on enemies with their rapid attacks. Renna will grant you the Lone Wolf summon after you get Torrent from Melina.

8. Greatshield Soldiers

Greatshield Soldiers aren’t the strongest Spirit Ashes in Elden Ring, but they’re one of the most fun. Holding great shields and chucking bombs, they’re great for disrupting enemy formations, letting you move in to attack during the ensuing chaos. You’ll find the Greatshield Soldiers in Nokron, Eternal City.

7. Skeletal Militiamen

Skeletal Militiamen are decent damage-dealers, but their real skill is staying alive. Just like Elden Ring’s undead enemies, these skellies will resurrect a few seconds after they’re killed unless they’re attacked in the process. The Tibia Mariner in Summonwater Village drops this summon.

6. Latenna the Albinauric

Latenna is excellent for open areas thanks to her incredible range. She stays exactly where you summon her, but she’ll deal consistent magic damage if you can keep enemies away from her. Bring the medallion found in Albinauric Village to the Lakeside Crystal Cave to get Latenna.

5. Lhutel the Headless

Lhutel can throw spears or fight with one in melee range, and it has the unique ability to teleport, making it very tough to kill. The only downside is it doesn’t hold enemies’ attention very well. The boss of the Tombsward Catacombs drops Lhutel the Headless.

4. Kaiden Sellsword

Just a big guy with a big sword, Kaiden Sellsword can take a good amount of punishment and easily stagger enemies with its attacks. It’s great for drawing attention so you can cast spells or set up backstabs. Beat Cliffbottom Catacombs to acquire this summon.

3. Ancient Dragon Knight Kristoff

Kristoff is one of the most versatile summons in Elden Ring. They can attack with a spear, use the Rejection incantation to knock foes away, and even smite them with conjured lightning. Combine all that with high defense, and this Spirit Ash can easily hold its own in a fight. Finish Sainted Hero’s Grave in Leyndell to unlock Kristoff.

2. Black Knife Tiche

The only downside to this summon is needing to fight the brutal boss Black Knife Ringleader near the Moonlight Altar. Black Knife Tiche deals high damage with a lingering damage-over-time effect, plus their acrobatic movement makes them difficult for most enemies to touch.

1. Mimic Tear

Yes, the Mimic Tear still rules after being nerfed. This summon copies your character down to your equipped items, making it totally customizable and capable of fighting a bit smarter than your average Spirit Ash. You’ll find this OP summon in Nokron, Eternal City.
