"Meet me in Montauk..."

by Robin Bea

Peacock's new movies for this month include a range of genre mash-ups, blending sci-fi with romance, fantasy, and action. Even better, they're all free to watch (with commercials) on the NBCUniversal streaming service.

Here are our picks for the best sci-fi movies coming to Peacock this month.

5. The Last Witch Hunter (2015)

The Last Witch Hunter isn't highbrow (or even middlebrow) art, but watching Vin Diesel fight witches with modern technology is still a good time.

4. The Bourne Ultimatum (2007)

If you like your sci-fi on the action-heavy side, this thriller about a brainwashed assassin will be right up your alley.

3. Kick-Ass (2010)

More comedy than sci-fi, Kick-Ass takes a relatively grounded look at what would happen if ordinary people tried to be superheroes.

2. I Am Legend (2007)

Despite a famous letdown of an ending, I Am Legend is still a gripping post-apocalyptic journey with a great lead performance by Will Smith.

1. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004)

While it's a romance at heart, Eternal Sunshine's mind-erasing premise and incredible effects (largely done in-camera) still make it appealing for sci-fi fans.
