Venom will get his second standalone movie in 2021, and fans are already hoping for more. In an interview with Variety, Sony Pictures’ president added fuel to the fire, saying there’s a plan for Sony’s Spider-Man spinoffs to connect with the MCU hero.
If No Way Home is pulling characters from alternate timelines, a version of Gwen Stacy who didn’t meet her canonical fate could be on the table. Emma Stone herself has denied rumors that she’s returning, so this one is more of a longshot.
Green Goblin is an essential part of Spider-Man canon. There are signs that he could make his way into the new continuity, stoked by Willem Dafoe cryptically referencing projects from this year that he’s not ready to reveal.
If No Way Home leans hard into dimension-hopping, it could go full Into the Spider-Verse and bring in Spideys from alternate dimensions. Even if they just appear as cameos, seeing the two previous big-screen Spider-Men would be a huge treat for fans.
