6 thrilling sci-fi movies you gotta watch on Paramount+

"Everybody runs."

The launch of Paramount+ means a new way to stream science fiction movies, from classics to new releases.

Here are the six best sci-fi movies available now on Paramount+.

6. Mimic (1997)

Guillermo del Toro's gross-out creature feature about mutant cockroaches is far from his best, but it's still worth it for horror fans with strong stomachs.

Though it's flawed and incredibly bleak for a Steven Spielberg movie, this robotic Pinocchio tale is still great for those who like their sci-fi on the pensive side.

4. Minority Report (2002)

Based on a Philip K. Dick story, Minority Report infuses its heady psychic-cop premise with action and great special effects.

3. Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956)

The 1978 remake gets more attention these days, but the 1956 alien invasion classic is essential sci-fi horror.

2. Star Trek: First Contact (1996)

The Enterprise crew goes toe-to-toe with the Borg in the best Next Generation movie.

1. Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986)

This time-travel quest to save the whales is old-school Star Trek at its silliest, and one of the best movies of the series.

If you're looking for more Trek, Paramount Plus has a great selection of TV shows new and old.

You can also check out Star Trek: Generations and Nemesis (but we don't recommend it).
