HBO Max added one of the biggest movies of the year in March, but its limited engagement is ending soon. Read on to see what else you’re running out of time to see.

Here are the 6 best sci-fi movies leaving HBO Max on April 30.

6. Green Lantern: Emerald Knights (2011)

No, not the infamous Ryan Reynolds flop. This animated Green Lantern movie was much better received, thanks in no small part to the voice acting talents of Elisabeth Moss and Nathan Fillion.

5. Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019)

Godzilla takes on a boatload of classic movie kaiju in this titanic battle royale. If you have even a passing interest in Godzilla, this should be on your list (even if it spends too much time on the humans).

4. An American Werewolf in London (1981)

Cult horror classic An American Werewolf in London is funny and shocking in equal measure. Fans of old-school practical effects in particular need to check it out for iconic work by Rick Baker.

3. The Invisible Man (2020)

This retelling of a classic monster movie is scary and surprisingly smart, led by yet another fantastic starring performance from Elisabeth Moss.

2. Beasts of the Southern Wild (2012)

This fantastical movie — equal parts fairy tale and down-to-Earth drama — is one of the best genre films of the last decade. Six-year-old Quvenzhane Wallis’ stunning performance alone makes it worth seeing.

1. Godzilla vs. Kong (2021)

This rematch 50 years in the making ends its month-long run on HBO Max soon. It may not have been everything we hoped for, but it’s still a fun, chaotic romp.
