8. Shutter Island (February 1)

7. About Time

Domhnall Gleeson stars in this romantic comedy as a man who discovers that he has inherited time travel powers and decides to use them to improve his love life.

6. Bridgerton

This alternate history series brings modern sensibilities to Regency-era drama, making it worth a watch even for those who aren’t fans of other historical fiction.

5. Outlander

A World War II nurse is mysteriously transported back in time to 1743, where she must navigate life and love among some suspiciously familiar faces.

4. Invisible City (February 5)

A Brazilian police officer discovers that mythological creatures have been hiding in plain sight among humans after he suffers a personal tragedy.

3. High Rise Invasion (February 25)

A high school student is forced to fight murderous masked figures when she’s transported to another dimension dominated by skyscrapers.

2. Love, Death & Robots

This over-the-top anthology explores sci-fi ideas from time travel to AI in gory detail, but its 18 episodes vary wildly in quality, and some come with major content warnings.

1. Black Mirror: "San Junipero"

Black Mirror has been applauded and dunked on in equal measure, but this rare romantic episode from Season 3 is a series high point — and a perfect choice for Valentine’s Day viewing.
