Matt Murdock makes his way to Disney+ with the rest of the Netflix Marvel lineup.
After Netflix’s Marvel shows left the popular streaming service, they soon announced their new home would be on Disney Plus. As the first (and some say best) among them, Daredevil is the first Marvel show worth checking out.
It takes until the end of the show’s first season for Matt Murdock to finally put on his famous costume. He does it just in time to do battle with Kingpin, the untouchable villain who will continue to haunt him and earn his new identity as Daredevil.
Season 2, Episode 3
Even Daredevil’s dodgiest season has a few great episodes, like this test of Murdock’s principles.
The Punisher dominates Daredevil’s second season, and “New York’s Finest” pits his revenge-driven quest against Daredevil’s pledge never to kill. Despite the spectacular action that ends the episode, its most thrilling moments come from a rooftop conversation between the two vigilantes.
Season 3, Episode 10
Naturally, most episodes of Daredevil focus on the titular hero. “Karen” instead throws the spotlight on Karen Page.
Season 3, Episode 13
Daredevil’s climactic confrontation gives viewers everything they were waiting for and still leaves them wanting more.
In “A New Napkin,” Daredevil goes toe-to-toe with Kingpin in a battle that tests the hero’s values as much as his skill as a crimefighter. Their emotional showdown reveals just how personal Daredevil’s mission is and essentially obliterates any doubts that he’s on the right path.
Whether you’d call it the show’s best episode, “Blindsided” is easily one of the most rewatchable. Its centerpiece is an incredible 10-minute, one-take fight scene as Matt Murdock escapes a trap set by Kingpin.
