Nic Cage’s performance in Knowing isn’t his most exciting, but it’s worth watching how many ways this sci-fi disaster movie finds to go off the rails all the way until its completely bananas conclusion.

Just after the release of Resident Evil Village, Amazon Prime is bringing back the first two Resident Evil movies. They have nothing in common with the games, so you can enjoy their legendary silliness whether you’ve played the series or not.
It’s dragons versus machine guns in Reign of Fire, an unabashedly brain-off B-movie with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments (including the reveal that dragons killed the dinosaurs) and the best special effects 2002 had to offer.

It’s not often that a heist movie also takes on loneliness, aging, and AI. The surprisingly sweet Robot & Frank manages its tricky balancing act with aplomb, thanks to leads Frank Langella and Rachel Ma (in the robot suit).
The debate over whether Alien or Aliens is the better movie may never end, but Ellen Ripley is never more of a badass than she is in this frantic sequel to the best sci-fi horror movie ever.
